The 1950s Halterneck White Blue Rose Dress From Vivien of Holloway is such a beautiful spring dress. The blue hues are so bright and cheery, I was instantly in a great mood trying this beauty on!
The 27″ full circle skirt sits below the knee and is perfect for a petticoat. I chose a white one to pair it with from my collection of petticoats. If you are purchasing this dress I think it would look amazing with the light blue petticoat available on the VOH website as well. don’t you?!
The Built in boned bodice on this gorgeous dress Is something I have never seen in a dress. It certainly creates an amazing look and fit. The dress is still super comfy so don’t worry about that. I wore it all day and did not feel constricted at all, even riding in the car for a couple of 20 and 30 minute trips. This dress is very well made. The sateen fabric looks and feels lovely.
The dress is a fixed Halterneck, so no tying it up in the back which I think makes it sit nicely under your hair. Just don’t forget about this feature when you are styling your hair as it will have to be pulled over. The boning in the bodice helps to keep the back of the dress flat without bunching or sagging.
The low V cut is another flattering feature of this dress. Plenty of room and no need for a bra as everything is held in place with the built in boning. Did I mention how much I LOVE the boning?! Love it!
You can find the size guide on their website HERE which goes by your measurements so be sure to have those ready when ordering!
